The expedition in under 3 minutes

A bucket-list dive expedition

Legendary Sipadan.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau described Sipadan as “an untouched piece of art.” It is Malaysia’s only oceanic island, rising nearly 600 metres from the floor of the Celebes Sea. Around this tiny island, walls plunge into deep blue water and an extraordinary concentration of marine life gathers: enormous green and hawksbill turtles, barracuda tornadoes, huge schools of trevally, bumphead parrotfish and sharks. More than 400 species of fish have been recorded around Sipadan. For divers who have never been there, this is the reason Borneo belongs on the bucket list.

Then change worlds without leaving the expedition.

Mabul delivers a completely different kind of diving: reefs alive with turtles and tropical fish, walls, muck sites and the strange, beautiful macro life that has made the area famous. The program goes beyond ordinary daytime reef diving with night diving and blackwater diving—dropping into open water after dark to encounter the tiny, translucent and often bizarre creatures that rise from the deep.

And there is Kapalai.

The expedition ranges across three islands and three distinct underwater personalities—Sipadan, Mabul and Kapalai. Five full dive days and 18 dives are designed around variety, not repetition: big-animal diving, walls, reefs, macro, muck, night and blackwater.

Plus a bucket-list jungle expedition

Borneo does not stop at the waterline.

After the diving and a holiday from your vacation in Semporna, two nights on the Kinabatangan River take guests from the reefs of the Celebes Sea into one of the most biologically extraordinary rainforest regions on Earth.

Borneo’s rainforests are among the oldest tropical rainforests in the world and support exceptional biodiversity. The island is home to thousands of plant species and hundreds of species of mammals, birds, amphibians and freshwater fish, including species found only on Borneo.

Experience the Borneo Big 5.

Borneo's Big 5: orangutans, pygmy elephants, proboscis monkeys, hornbills and crocodiles.

The Kinabatangan River is not a zoo and wildlife is never guaranteed. That is precisely the point: guests travel the river through real rainforest habitat, watching the banks and canopy for animals living in the wild. The amazing thing about the Kinabatangan area is the Borneo Big 5 call it home and frequent the river, making this a destination for ecotourists from all over the world.

Imagine, within two days a guest can move from a Sipadan wall surrounded by turtles, sharks, and schooling fish to a jungle river with pygmy elephants, orangutans, hornbills and proboscis monkeys. The contrast is unforgettable.

We've already built it

Creating an international dive trip from scratch is work. A lot of work.

The itinerary. Accommodations. Dive operations. Domestic flights. Ground transfers. Boats. Meals. Equipment. Customer questions. On-the-ground coordination. Marketing program.

Sea & Jungle Travel Co. has already assembled the Borneo expedition and the operating system behind it. Your business does not need to create a Borneo tour operation.

You bring your customers. We take care of Borneo.

We've built the marketing, too.

This is the campaign your customers will receive. Branded for your business.
